One of the key strategies of our management and staff relies upon continually improving our manufacturing processes to achieve a more efficient business environment. In keeping with this ideaology, our staff frequently undergoes training and certification which has resulted in the company earning numerous honors and awards.

The Wings Award [2006]

On April 4th 2006, Cathay Pacific Airlines announced “The Wing Awards” in honor of select Thai companies that have business operations in China and/or Hong Kong. Union Food Industry was selected from an outstanding list of companies as having made respectable contributions towards society while taking a specific role in strengthening relations between Thailand, Hong Kong and China. The Emerald Wing Award is presented to Thai companies that have contributed to society and the environment around the business’ local community. Khun Sunee Wangwanitkul, Vice President of Union Food Industry Co., Ltd., received the prestigious award from Mr. Patrick Yeung, Regional GM of Cathay Pacific Southest/East Asia.


Boss of the Year [2004]

On February 28th 2005 the Ministry of Labour awarded Khun Sunee Wangwanitkul “Boss of the Year 2004” in a ceremony organized by Boss Magazine.


Besides learning through practical work experience, the Company supports continuous and stringent staff training in new areas of knowledge, to ensure that they can gain expertise and technical proficiency to operate their jobs at high standards.



The Company’s staff swore an oath at the Department of Industrial Works, Ministry of Industry to celebrate and honour the H.M. Queen Sirikit’s command to preserve the waterways for being major arteries that sustain human life over the years in the project “Rak Mae…Rak Mae Nam” (“Love Mother…Love the River”) 2008.


On the 7 March 2007, Company staff attended a seminar about Thai Labour standards (Mor Ror Tor 8001-2546) organized by the Nakorn Pathom Department of Labour Protection and Welfare.



The Company participated in a training conference for factory operators on environmental toxicity problems and fundamental knowledge of managing and reducing air pollution, organized by the Municipal Office of Om Yai, Nakorn Pathom.

The Company cares for the well-being of its employees while working, and adheres to safety regulatory standards in terms of workers’ health and the environment as an integral part of operational safety measures. It is the responsibility of every employee to cooperate with each other to ensure safety to both themselves and others at work. Therefore, the Company supports the enrollment of all employees in various seminars such as basic fire fighting, evacuation from fires, special courses for safety at the factory floor, management and supervisory levels on an annual basis, organized by related government officials, namely Om Yai Municipal Office, Safety and Health at Work Promotion Association, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Nakorn Pathom.

The Company’s staff were trained by Robarr and Associates (Thailand) Co., Ltd. on GMP & HACCP Internal Auditing standards, and were advised on structuring the system, analyzing danger and crisis points that need to be controlled to produce food according to HACCP 2002 standards, as a way of upgrading the Company’s production capacity to international standards.
